Herb Garden in a Bottle

This last day of January was cold & 'drifty' to say the least, but my herb ladies made it out to make 'Herb Garden' air fresheners & an herbal cutical cream. So fun to get together when it's this cold outside! As we sipped some Lavender Mint Tea and got to chatting I think we all agreed, without saying that we are ready for spring, or at least some early spring air freshening!

Herb Garden Natural Air Freshener

1tsp. baking soda

1tsp. lemon juice

2 cups hot water (slightly cooled)

few drops essential oils of Lavender, Rosemary & Sage
Mix together to disolve baking soda, add oils & fill
decorative spray bottles. Labeled so you don't forget what is in it!

Shake well before freshening the air! Breath and say Ahhhhh!
Our next herb seminar is Feb 7th at 3pm. We were trying to get couples to come to this one but some guys just won't budge! Hey guys, we are doing this for you! Making Herbal Theraputic Massage oils and body candy.....I don't know what else I can add! How about some wonderful appetizers, nice music, and chocolate truffles. No? Well girls I guess it is all for us!!
Sign up anytime now until Friday and bring a friend!

Gifts from the Garden

Budda would agree that these super moisturizing hand salves will help tame the winter drying of the hands and feet. This is Comfrey,Calendula & Lavender salve. Essential to any gardener or hard hand working individual! The wreath is a wild mix of soft yellow mustard, natural eucalyptus, large leaf ivy, and lots of soft green fern-I am going to add artichokes and lemons to this one!

I created these Chocolate Mint & Lavender Lip Balms to help my chocolate cravings. It didn't work! I still want the real thing! These are so nice this time of year - to give to a friend for Valentines Day!

Herbal Remedy #1 Curing the SAD

Getting those winter gloomies? Make sure you take your vitamin D!
I like to take the good stuff - Cod Liver Oil! Oh yeah, this stuff works wonders. You just have to make sure you brush and floss and listermint your face before going out!!!
If you do have symptoms of SAD you can take herbal supplements that will help with your mood, lay in a tanning bed for light therapy (10 minutes) or you can do what I do and look at great photos of foliage, flowers and fun days at the beach! And if you're just bored then sign up for a Herb Class!
See dates and times in our Seminars section.

Patient Gardener

Brrrrr! Winter Blasts are here at last!

No school for tots and no high school class!

We want to sled and slide and board!

I almost broke my hip Dear Lord!

I long for planting, spring and rake,

soil, fresh berries they smell so great!

I know I must be patient .......wait! CMR

If no one answers come to the Garden!

Welcome to our Gardens!
Peace & serenity is here at last!
These gardens are full of my favorites but it is always changing - the best gardens always do!
I love to walk into a garden that I have been to before but always see something different, something not there and replaced with something even more beautiful than before. Meandering pathways that contain that element of surprise!
Color, texture & fragrance all together playing a song. My gardens are not really planned even though I am a landscape designer. I am a creature of habit so I love to change things around in my rooms!
